Competition doesn't exist.
There’s a line from The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer that’s been echoing in my bones lately:
All flourishing is mutual.
Doesn’t that make you want to take one giant inhale of trust and exhale of pressure?
Here’s what I need you to embrace: there’s no such thing as competition, especially when you’re rooted in the truth of who you are.
When you show up fully in your work—with your unique energy, lived experience, and lens—what you offer becomes medicine. Not just for your clients, but for your whole ecosystem.
For example, when my soul sister and accountability buddy, Anna, has a huge week in her business, it lifts me up too. This is especially true if I’m having a crappy week; it acts as a little handhold out of my funk.
Or when I was planning the Thrive Summit* last fall. I invited many of the most talented entrepreneurs I knew to come share their wisdom, and everybody won. We were able to cross-promote on each other's platforms and reach a broader audience, and we offered meaningful, practical support to small business owners around the world—for free.
Or when my coach, Catherine Andrews, is teaching me about feng shui or tarot or circadian rhythm, I never think, “Well, her coach probably knows more, I should work with them instead.” I keep working with her because I trust her.
As soul-centered entrepreneurs, shared success is foundational. Extractive models, hierarchical models, zero-sum models? There’s no space for those here.
People choose you because of your special mix of energy and expertise, not your rankings. You are the resonance they’ve been looking for.
