This one feels vulnerable to share.
This story feels a little stretchy to share. There’s still some shadow I’m working through. But I also know that some of the most powerful shadow work involves bringing it into the light. So here goes.
What abundance are you keeping from yourself?
Or put another way—where have you been making things harder than they need to be?
A few years ago, my family inherited a country club membership.
I did not grow up going to country clubs. I was a financial aid kid, a work-study kid. I was lucky to have a stable, love-filled home—but luxuries like hotels, flights, or regular meals out just because weren’t part of my experience.
So when this membership landed in our laps, I hated it.
“We’re a ‘longer table, not a taller fence’ family!” I told myself. (Which is still deeply true.)
I was convinced I wouldn’t like the people there. That going said something about me I didn’t like.
And yet… we weren’t going to give it up.
My husband loves golfing there. My kids have a blast—bowling! Pools! Camp! Shirley Temples! The staff are incredible, and the club treats them really well.
Still, I resisted.
Then, as I healed my relationship with money and wealth, I did something radical:
✨ I allowed myself access to what was already available to me.
Here’s what happened next.
For years, I wanted to become a better swimmer.
Guess what? I finally started using the pool I’ve had access to for years.
For years, I've been tempted be a cold plunge, spending way too much time looking into DIY options.
Guess what? One just showed up on the pool deck.
When my mom and I took a trip a few weeks ago, our daily sauna time felt so luxurious.
Guess what’s been sitting in the women’s locker room this whole time? A sauna. And I'd had no idea.
Once I started allowing myself those pleasures—the abundance faucet turned ON.
✨ My marriage got even more delicious.
✨ Exciting business opportunities started showing up—regularly, from totally unexpected places. (Can’t wait to share more soon!)
The work we do on our businesses pays off in our lives.
And the work we do on our lives pays off in our businesses.
When we address the root blocks, we make space for seismic changes in how we experience everything.
Why am I telling you this?
Because this isn’t about plush amenities.
This is about all of us.
Where in your life are you making things harder than they need to be?
✨ Where are you rejecting ease because it doesn’t fit a narrative you have about yourself?
✨ Where are you saying, “I have to earn this”, instead of just receiving what’s already available?
✨ Where are you resisting pleasure, support, connection, or resources—because you’ve unconsciously decided you “shouldn’t” need them?
So here’s my invitation:
Today, take a moment and ask yourself:
What ease, abundance, or pleasure is already available to me—if I’d just let myself receive it?
💡 Maybe it’s a support system you’re not leaning on.
💡 Maybe it’s a business opportunity you’ve been too afraid to claim.
💡 Maybe it’s a way to make life easier that you keep resisting.
Because sometimes, the next level isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about finally allowing what’s already here.
