Square Two: Dreaming & Scheming
Buckle up because it’s time for Square Two – Dreaming and Scheming!
I LOVE this phase because there are no rules – in fact, that’s the Square Two mantra: “There are no rules – and that’s ok.”
After you’ve made it through the Moment That Changes Everything (whether you wanted it or not), and allowed yourself to dissolve into goo, one day you wake up and notice things start to feel different.
You find yourself rearranging your bedroom.
Deciding to chop your hair, maybe dye it another color.
Going through your closet looking for something that actually feels right.
Don’t dismiss these as superficial whims.
Our external world reflects – and impacts – our internal world.
When so much has changed inside, a part of us yearns for that to be made visible, even when we’re not aware that that’s what’s happening.
And we might not know quite how to do that. How to make the outside align with the inside.
Which is why Square Two is a time to PLAY and EXPERIMENT and let your imagination run wild.
What do you do in Square Two?
Daydream.
Make a vision board.
Experiment.
Write down your dreams.
Play!
Connect with people who can help you see where you’re going and what you’re capable of. (My Square Two toolbox is stocked, and it’s one of my favorite types of coaching to do.)
Again, the mantra here is:
There are no rules, and that’s ok.
Of course, we can’t stay in this world of unknown possibility forever. At some point, we must emerge and bring it into reality.
That, dear one, is what Square Three is all about, and we’ll dig into that next week.
