When the Body Says to Rest
My whole house came down with strep over the weekend, and it’s hit me the hardest. (Yes, I was writing about pinkeye just last week. It's been a ride, folks.)
Since Saturday, I’ve been taking antibiotics, sipping fire cider, and resting as much as possible.
Yesterday, I felt so sick of feeling crummy, I popped two Advil Cold & Sinus, took a shower, and decided to just get on with things.
But over the past few years, I’ve become so attuned to what my body is telling me, and when I try to ignore or override her, she speaks up. (This is a powerful practice I teach to many of my clients.)
So instead of the rush and relief I remembered from when I used to pop Advil Cold & Sinus like candy and head into an office, instead I felt discombobulated. Still crummy and tired, but with a racing heart and the jitters.
OK, sweet body, I’m listening. More rest.
Which means, I don’t have much to share this week. I have lots of half-written letters to you, but they’re not ready yet.
And I don’t push any more. (Well, I’m trying.)
Instead, here are five articles from the archives that you may have missed (or wish to revisit):
You might notice some of those links mention 30-minute discovery calls. As a reminder, those have gotten a mega upgrade to hour-long Vision Casting Sessions.
If you’re curious about what life could look like a year from now, let’s explore. Believe me when I say there’s nothing I’d rather do when I’m over this bug than chat with you about what the Universe has in store.
