Your Guide to Delight
What is delighting you these days?
Delight is such a powerful compass point for your intuition.
With all the messages we get from society and culture and family, we can lose track of what really lights us up. And when we lose track of what lights us up, we lose a powerful connection point to our essential self.
What is delight?
The enchantment that dances through our senses, awakening our childlike wonder and reminding us to embrace the beauty and joy that surround us. A gentle invitation to savor the simple pleasures of life and find joy in the extraordinary found within the ordinary. A purely delicious experience that is uniquely calibrated for what aligns with your deepest self.
Here’s a list to get your delighted creative juices flowing:
Dance around to The Oogum Boogum Song
Take a walk outside and leave your phone at home
Snuggle (a kid, partner, dear friend, fluffy companion) without distractions
Read a romance novel
Have a bowl of ice cream with sprinkles – in the middle of the afternoon
Work in the garden, with bare hands
Bake focaccia and eat it fresh from the oven
Put on something sparkly and meet a friend at a hotel bar
Take a bath with epsom salts and essential oils (lavender for calming, ylang ylang for a romantic atmosphere, eucalyptus for aching muscles)
Treat yourself to new markers and graph paper for doodling
Take a Wonder Walk
Watch an episode of Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy
Write a love letter to your best friend
Write a love letter to yourself
Put on under eye patches, light some incense, turn on some Krishna Das, and lay on your floor with your eyes closed for 20 minutes
Slather your feet in Mom’s Stuff salve and put on fuzzy socks
Whip up the perfect mocktail and sip it outside while watching the sunset
Drink a latte out of a real mug while you listen to Dave Brubeck’s Take Five and do a crossword
Blow bubbles
Take a bike ride
Do a puzzle while listening to a podcast
Go to the Phillips Collection and take a few deep breaths in the Laib Wax Room
Read this poem
Listen to Gwendolyn Brooks read We Real Cool

Build a fairy land
Knit a funny tea cozy

Eat by candlelight
Make pickled onions and put them on everything
You may read this list and be turned off by every one of these ideas. That is wonderful! That, my dear, is your intuition talking. Take note of this valuable information.

Find delight. Delight in things.
At least once a day, do something purely for the delight of it – and let me know how it goes.
DM me on Instagram. Or, if it feels delightful to do so, post yours and tag me. I’d love to see.
P.s. I have a limited number of spots available for new one-on-one clients.
It's remarkable what can happen in six months with dedicated reflection and support. If you're ready to reconnect with nature, magic, and your intuition to live the vibrant life that’s meant for you, schedule your free vision casting session here.
